EducationMuch of my experience in the mental health field comes from front line support work with underserved communities. I provided trauma-informed care to marginalized groups experiencing trauma, addictions, anxiety, depression and various other life challenges. This role strengthened my commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces for vulnerable individuals, and emphasized a deep appreciation for appropriate and inclusive trauma-informed interventions.
I believe the best way to approach therapy is with curiosity, humility, and relationship building. My counselling approach honours the client’s culture, while valuing their own wisdom through a collaborative connection. My areas of interest are addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, as well as life transitions and stressors. Ultimately I aim to foster an environment that honours the client’s resiliency, while starting the path to growth, healing and self-compassion.
